Sweetbody Laboratories was created in Portland, Oregon by co-founders Debi Mann and Rebecca Knutson,
massage therapists on a mission to fight pain organically and holistically.

Debi and Rebecca met while attending East West College of Healing Arts in 2005
– and they’ve been inseparable ever since. |
Company History |
"We have been licensed massage therapists since 2007. We founded our massage practice, Sports Performance Therapies of Oregon, in 2011 and recently became Unwind Massage in 2015.
Within our practice, we were frustrated the massage lotions available contained chemicals and odors, and were drying to our skin with all the repeated use – not to mention our clients didn’t care much for the standard lotion either. Practicing deep tissue and sports massage, many of our clients experienced soreness after the treatments and would rely on OTC drugs for pain relief after deep tissue and between massage treatments. We also tended to rely on these drugs for our own aches and pains – we knew we had to find a better solution. These challenges set us on a course toward creating our own body care products made from full-strength arnica, calendula, and other pure, organic ingredients that promote healing and effective pain relief while being deliciously nourishing to the whole body, mind, and spirit.
